Assisted Sewing Sessions with Mary



Our class meets on Thursdays at 5:30 most weeks.

Need a little extra guidance to finish your quilt or sewing project? Bring your work-in-progress and spend some dedicated time with Mary! She’ll be there to help troubleshoot, guide your process, and cheer you on to the finish line.

Your instructor will answer any questions about threading, bobbin winding, stitch selection and other machine basics. Learn to sew with other eager students. It’s creative and great fun!

 


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details:
Requirements: Machine, standard accessories and owner’s manual, working projects, cotton fabric for projects, rotary cutter and ruler, thread and basic sewing supplies.
Instructor: Mary Bodney
Instructor Bio: Mary has been sewing for over 60 years and has made all of her clothes since she was in the 8th grade. For the past four years, she has taught beginner sewing, garment sewing, bag making, machine embroidery and various projects, including pillows, table toppers, placemats, and other home decor items. Mary is knowledgeable about all major brands of sewing machines, embroidery machines, sergers, and cover stitch machines. Additionally, she has over 40 years of experience teaching in public high schools.
