Sunflowers/ Facing the Sun Laura Heine Collage Class (3 Day)

Join LemonDropQuilts - Jessica Drugg - Advanced Certified Laura Heine instructor as she leads this Sunflower Collage Class. Students have the option to complete either Laura Heine Sunflower(vertical) or Facing the Sun (Purple/ teal horizontal) project during this class. Both projects finish about 33” x 42”.
The 2.5 day class is April 22, 25-26 and will be $150.
We recommend you have completed at least one Laura Heine project prior to taking this class.
Required Materials: Sunflowers (vertical) Pattern
About 10 yards or more of 12” wide Steam a Seam 2 or 5 or more yards of 24” wide Steam a Seam 2 (no substitutions)
1 yard of Collage Foundation/ Pattern Ease
Required Materials: Facing the Sun (teal and purple/ horizontal) Pattern
About 6 yards of 24” wide Steam a Seam2 (no substitutions)
2 pieces of collage foundation/ Pattern Ease 1- 36” x 24” and the other is 44” x 32”

| Requirements: | In this class you will learn collage basics and tips for success in completing larger collage projects. It is recommended that you have completed a Laura Heine collage before taking this class. Sewing machine is not required for class, only after the collage is completed. Wednesday night we will talk about fabric prep and color choices. Saturday and Sunday we will work on the collage. |

| Instructor Bio: | My name is Jessica Drugg. I am quilter, designer and Advanced Certified Laura Heine Instructor based in Kansas City. I began quilting about 15 years ago and started collage quilting 2 years ago. In May of 2024 I became a Certified Laura Heine instructor after attending a certification class taught by Laura herself. In April of 2025 attended my Advanced Certification class and learned the technique of adding InkTense colored pencils and working in a monochromatic palette. |
