During class, we will cover constructing and shaping the hat, working with Flex Foam and heavyweight interfacing, adding the lining, and finishing your hat with binding. This is a great project for building your sewing skills while creating something you’ll look forward to pulling out every Halloween!

The finished hat is approximately 16" tall x 20" wide with a 22–23" interior circumference and is designed to fit most adults.

• Spellbound Quilted Witch Hat Pattern by Melissa Mortenson – required

• ¾–1¼ yards fabric for the witch hat

• ¾–1¼ yards fabric for the lining

• 1½ yards Pellon Flex Foam

• ¾ yard heavyweight fusible interfacing

• 2 fat quarters for binding

• 1 fat quarter for optional sash

• Sewing machine in good working order

• Coordinating thread

• Rotary cutter

• Cutting mat

• Acrylic ruler

• Fabric scissors

• Pins and/or Wonder Clips

• Fabric marking pen or pencil

• Seam ripper

• Basic sewing supplies

Please bring your sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, and the accessories you normally use with your machine.
